Giddy up!

With Stampede around the corner, things are busy here at Kallen Printing! We've been assembling these fun, western themed self-promo books for the creative branding company, Creation Republic.

Kallen Printing is delighted for our client, Kelly Hartman Design Studio (Fishten), who picked up an Anvil for this one-of-a-kind art catalogue, "Once upon a pond". Skate marks criss-cross the front cover with a deboss and clear foil combination; silver foil on the spine represents a skate blade. Inside, the layered pages have been staggered trimmed to reference layers of ice. We love working together with creative people to produce custom pieces such as this!

We printed these sumptuous cards on Eames Vellum natural white double-thick cover with 2 hits of black, a dull varnish and metallic silver ink / silver + green. Then they were laser diecut with spectacular results!

Roth & Ramberg 2011 calendar

Kallen Printing was again pleased to work with Roth & Ramberg Photography on their 2011 desk calendar. This year's calendar featured black and white photographs (from a secret location!), which we printed in 3 Pantone inks plus dull and gloss varnish.

Kallen Print in Chicago

We recently headed to the windy city to attend "Graph Expo", a big trade show geared towards the printing industry. We attended a few seminars and checked out the latest and greatest. We also picked up a bunch of cool printed samples. So many, in fact, that the airline wanted a look for themselves... my suitcase didn't arrive until the next day! We'd love to chat about the show in person so stop in for one of our delicious coffees and get the low down.
